My Thoughts:

This diaper is so cute. I love that Sweet Southern Bums has so many cute and unique embroidered designs on their diapers, especially ones that promote Cloth Diaper Advocacy! You can’t get much more creative than these diapers. I also adore that these diapers are made by a WAHM in the USA. It is great to support fellow mom’s.

I will be basing my review on the pocket diaper/shell only as inserts are currently not included in the cost of the diaper. Sweet Southern Bums hopes to include an insert in the near future. For review purposes, I used a Sunbaby microfiber insert inside of this cloth diaper. The Sunbaby insert was a little wide for the diaper, but still fit in the pocket with plenty of room for a doubler or second insert. I had no problems stuffing the cloth diaper at all. While the width of the cloth diaper is a little narrow for my liking along the midsection, my son did not experience any leaks. My son (21 lbs) fit great into the middle size setting on this diaper. I also appreciate that this diaper has a hip snap to prevent wing droop and a cross over snap for skinny or small babies.

This is a one size diaper fitting most babies between 10-28 lbs. One size diapers help you to get the most cloth diaper for your money. The elastic waist and leg gussets provided a great seal for my son to help prevent leaks. In addition, I loved that this cloth diaper had a mix of fabrics (woven cotton and minky in the front).

Overall, this diaper worked very well for my son. I must say that this will be one of the first diapers I choose to bring with me when I need to “show off” my cloth! This cloth diaper will sure be a conversation starter, especially among non-cloth family and friends, so be prepared to answer lots of questions
