How to Make a Cloth Diaper Registry

Are you expecting a baby in the next year? Do you plan on or hope to use cloth diapers for your baby? A cloth diaper registry might be the perfect way for you to get all of those essentials for your new little bundle of joy!

When I registered for my cloth diapers, I used Kelly’s Closet Baby Registry to help make it simple and easy for friends and family to purchase cloth diapers for my little one’s fluffy bum! Below is a tutorial to help you set up your own Cloth Diaper Registry!

1) Click Gift Registry or Baby Registry on Kelly’s Closet.

KC1

2) Click Create My Gift Registry.

KC2

3) Next fill in all your information including name, e-mail, and a password. You can also come up with a cute name for your registry or leave a personal message to family and friends! In addition, you can input a ship to e-mail address so that items can be shipped directly to you! After you have all of your settings, click Save My Registry.

RC3

4) Now that your registry is created, you can alert friends and family by sending them an e-mail!

KC4

5) Now onto the fun part, adding the cloth diapers! Just go to any product you want to add to your registry, select the color or style as well as the quantity and click Add to Gift Registry.

KC5

6) Once you have added as many items as you would like to your registry, you are ready to go. When you go into your registry you can add, delete, or even view purchased items.

KC6

That is it! You have completed your cloth diaper registry. I would also recommend printing out little cards or pieces of paper with Kelly’s Closet address, the name or title of the registry as well as the password for friends and family to view. This piece of paper can be included in a baby shower invitation or e-mailed too!

I live in a small town. I like to teach new moms about BF and making homemade baby food. Now, with my new baby coming, I want to give CD a try so I can teach them that too!

Our church is wonderful about setting up meal trains for new moms using http://takethemameal.com/ . I had a very difficult labor and recovery and this was an immense blessing to me, so I put a lot of effort into signing up for every new mom who’s come after me.

Wish I had thought of this for a friend that is just starting to buy her stash for her newborn. She probably would already have what she needs if she’d had a registry for them!

My pregnant friend wants to cloth diaper and babywear. When I started doing both, I did a TON of research because I feel like there’s so much details and options for both. So the other day I typed up a bunch of info on CDs and babywearing info for her since she never goes on the computer. That way it makes starting her journey with each easier.

I also love bringing my new mom friends a meal within the first couple weeks home with baby.

My mom taught me that even if you dont have a lot you always have something you can give and there is always someone less fortunate than you. So, whatever help was needed if I could help I would and if not I would find the resources to get the help for them :) Thank you for doing this giveaway

Reply

Anna Northrup January 23, 2013 at 12:27 pm

I have just convinced a soon to be new mom to try cloth before using disposables. She is tight on cash and I told her how OS diapers worked and introduced her to a co-op. Nothing better than spending a few bucks for a diaper that will last from birth to potty training. And you can’t sell a washed disposable when you are done with it. How could it get any better? Oh wait, that’s right, the squishy cuteness of a cloth bootie!!

I would bless a new mom-to-be with any knowledge I could, gently used hand-me-downs, and knowing they have support. I would bless a new mom who just had their baby with some pre-made meals, and offering to come do some of their laundry or some chores and watch the baby while they take a shower, a nap, etc–anything to make their life a little easier!
I am expecting our second due in July, and we plan on making the switch to cloth diapers this time around. I would LOVE this stash, and would gladly pass it on once I was done to any momma/daddy who was wanting to start out with cloth diapering!

I think giving/loaning your maternity clothes to another mom is an awesome way to bless her! Someone loaned me her maternity clothes recently, and it’s awesome to know that I’m saving money… especially on something that can only be worn for a few months!

I think the thing that would have helped my family the most is someone offering to watch our older children so that my husband and I can both bond with the baby from day one. With both of my subsequent births my husband was only able to be there for the birth since we were paying for a last minute sitter each time. But as is the life of a Coast Guard enlisted I guess!
